Paul Thompson (Lead Elder)

I’m married to Meryl, and have lived in Upminster since 1977. We have two married Christian children and two grandchildren. Before taking on full time leadership of King’s Church, I was an Asst Head Teacher & D&T teacher in the school in which the church meets. Meryl was also an infants teacher until recently and now co-ordinates the
children’s work in the church. I have attended church nearly all my life, but became a Christian at the age of 17, and haven’t looked back since.
I enjoy football, music, house & garden design, studio pottery, and the English countryside.
I have a strong vision to build a vibrant New Testament – style church which demonstrates God’s love, grace and power, and I feel very privileged to lead a great group of people!

Mick Rynne (Elder)

I’m married to Allison and we have two wonderful children. We’ve lived in Upminster since 1993. I currently work from home as an Area Manager for a large electrical company based in Telford, Shropshire. Allison is a full-time housewife and mother. I was brought up in a catholic family, but made a personal commitment to
Jesus Christ just before we got married. Previously we were members of a Newfrontiers church in Brentwood for six years, and served by leading a Life Group, (home-group) and children’s groups on Sundays. My responsibilities as an Elder include overseeing the Life Groups and the children’s ministry along with my wife Allison.
We both enjoy music, reading, films, TV (comedy & detective shows), family and church life. King's Church is a great community, and we love being part of a family that genuinely cares for each other.

Austine Agwo (Elder)

I’m married to Furo, and have 3 young children. I have supervisory responsibility for youth work, and am involved in preaching, worship leading and pastoral care. I am passionate about people growing into strong Christians, who are living a Spirit-filled life of victory. I desire to see both young and ‘experienced’ people
developing and fulfilling all that God has destined for them. We have been Members of KCU since 2004, and I have been serving the wider Christian community through my Christian books and gifts business.
