Get Involved

Joining our church family offers far more than just attending a Sunday meeting.

We offer groups for all ages and stages of relationship with God.

We encourage everyone to feel part of, and fully involved in a range of activities which will help you to become a mature Christian, serving and encouraging others.

Community Life

•  If you want to meet Jesus Christ personally, rather than be religious…

•  If you’re looking for a church where you get involved rather than just attend…

•  If you want to grow rather than just standing still…

•  If you want to be free and expressive in your worship of Jesus…

•  If you want to be bold in reaching out rather than playing safe…

This is the place for you!

Below is a selection of some of the things you could get involved with.

King’s Men

This is our men's group, affiliated to 'Christian Vision for Men' - an organisation which helps guys to be strong in God, and to lead their wives, families and other ladies, well.

They meet around 6 times per year for active social events (mostly involving food & drink) and use the opportunity to invite mates along too.

CVM offer a wealth of resources, training opportunities, conferences and encouragement.

(Please see www.cvm.org.uk for more details)

KCU Women

Our women meet together for social and creative activities from time to time such as:

Swap parties, meals, pamper evenings, craft evenings and trips out.

Some of us meet monthly for the KCU Book Club.

Newday

Each Summer, we take the youth and their friends to camp at the 'Newday' Youth Week in Norwich - it's a huge, safe event with worship, teaching, seminars, sports & games, camping and other activities, geared specifically for them.

They get a big picture about what God is doing in their generation across the nation, and practice how to care, serve and interact with one another.

Please see https://newdaygeneration.org for more information.

Upminster Nursing Home

A small team conducts a service at Upminster Nursing Home, every 3 weeks.

The meetings consist of Hymns and worship songs, Bible readings, short talks and prayers.

This is very much appreciated by the residents and staff.

We also provide an annual Carol service for residents, staff and families, and have helped with summer barbecues and accompanied residents on outings.

Courses

We want our people to become mature and outward looking in their faith by participating in and inviting others to the following:

Growing Leaders

Upper Room Academy (Our Catalyst Hub)

CAP Money Course

Christianity Explored

Marriage Preparation / Marriage Review

Parenting Children / Teenagers

For people in severe financial difficulties, we can refer you to a nearby CAP Debt Advice centre, who can help contact your creditors with a view to you becoming debt-free.  CAP also run Job clubs and Life Skills courses.
